This course is for Healthcare Professionals who need Health Care Provider level CPR as well as how to use the AED. This course is often required by many hospitals or schools related to the medical field. Individuals such as nursing students, EMT students, PA students, and others will very likely be required to be certified in BLS before or during school sessions. This course is an educational program jointly sponsored by the American Heart Association (AHA).
The Course Covers:
– Adult, Child (1-12yrs), Infant (1-0 yrs) CPR
– Two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask
– Foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious)
– Automated external defibrillation (includes child AED update)
– Special resuscitation situations
– Other cardiopulmonary emergencies
– Stroke and cardiac arrest

The textbook is required for the class. Any student who does not have the correct book or does not bring the book will have to purchase one on the day of the course. The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course covers:
– First aid basics (including scene safety, finding the problem, and calling for help)
– Medical emergencies (including actions for choking, breathing problems, and shock)
– Injury emergencies (including actions for bleeding, broken bones, and burns)
– Environmental emergencies (including actions for bites, stings, temperature-related, and poison emergencies)
– Adult CPR AED
– Child CPR AED (optional module)
– Infant CPR (optional module)
This course is NOT intended for Healthcare Providers or any personnel working or those who may be working in the medical field in the future (i.e., nursing/medical students). This course is highly recommended for daycare workers, school teachers, security personnel, summer camps, work, babysitters, and construction workers. This course is NOT intended for Healthcare Providers or any personnel working or those who may be working in the medical field in the future (i.e., nursing/medical students). This course is an educational program jointly sponsored by the American Heart Association (AHA)
The Heartsaver CPR AED course covers:
– CPR for adults, children, and infants
– Usage of AED for adults, children, and infants
– Relief of choking for adults, children, and infant
Do You Need First Aid Course? You can also get your First Aid Certification during this course by adding the AHA First Aid Online Course from the menu below. Complete Part 1 online, print the completion certificate and bring it on the day of the CPR course. Complete Parts 2 & 3 “skills check” to get your official American Heart Association certification card same day.

In 2022 new laws were enacted in New York State and other states across the US targeting the childcare industry. These include childcare providers, babysitters, pre-schools, camps, daycare centers, children’s hospitals, and others responsible for children who have to be First Aid certified. Because these candidates had to specialize in children and infants the AHA has developed a program specific to this group- Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid.
